MCLEANSBORO — The McLeansboro Police Department says due to anticipated changes with the Alternative Transportation Permits in the City of McLeansboro, all current permits are being extended.

According to a post on the McLeansboro Police Department’s Facebook page, the police department will not be renewing permits until after the Aug. 13, 2019 city council meeting. All new registrations still need to be made with the police department. This extension is for renewals only.

Officers will be out and enforcing the ordinance for those operating without a permit.
