Charles Richard Hale, 68, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at 10:45 A.M.Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born February 15, 1951 in Gallatin County, Illinois to the late Johnny and Zelma (Melton) Hale. He married Sharon (Dorris) Hale on September 3, 1983 in West Frankfort, Illinois. Charles and Sharon were parents to their son, John Robert Hale for 11 wonderful years. They were blessed with 36 years of marriage.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00P.M. To 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 19, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to theFlights for Christ in memory of Charles Hale.
