Diana Lynn Green, 60, of Texico, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born May 8, 1959, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Harold Duane and Betty (Legg) Marshel. On September 25, 1988, in Fairfield, Illinois, she married Charles “Dale” Green, and he survives in Texico.
She graduated from Fairfield Community High School in 1977, and then graduated from Frontier Community College in 1979, with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years, at Good Samaritan Hospital, with 38 of those years in Labor and Delivery. She retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in March 2019. Diana was a member of Donoho Prairie Christian Church in Texico. She enjoyed photography of nature and family, was an avid collector of crystals and kaleidoscopes, and could spot a four-leaf clover from a mile away. Her favorite occupation besides nursing, was being a Grandma to Wyatt and Warren.
In addition to her husband, Charles “Dale” Green on Texico, she is survived by two sons, Aaron Green and wife Molly of Texico, and Eli Green of Texico; and one daughter, Alexandra Green of Texico; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Warren Green; two brothers, Bret Marshel and wife Barbara of Fairfield, and Bart Marshel and wife Lisa of Goodyear, Arizona; one sister, Denise Boozer and husband Mark of Kell; several nieces and nephews; and many brothers-and-sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Duane Marshel; maternal grandparents, James and Louise Legg; paternal grandparents, Ulla and Alma Marshel; and an infant brother, Harold Ray Marshel.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Green will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2019, at the Donoho Prairie Christian Church Family Life Center, with Matt Renaud officiating. Burial will follow at Donoho Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, July 18, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the Donoho Prairie Christian Church Family Life Center.
