FRANKLIN COUNTY — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a $24,000 Community Facilities Grant was recently received by the sheriff’s office from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that will be used to replace a patrol vehicle within the aging fleet.

Sheriff David Bartoni says the receipt of this grant is also a great cost savings benefit to the taxpayers of Franklin County.

The sheriff says the addition of a new patrol vehicle will help ensure that deputies continue to have the equipment needed to safely and effectively fight crime in Franklin County. The sheriff extends thanks and gratitude to the area USDA employees who worked diligently to secure the funding for this project.
