MURPHYSBORO — Jackson County voters approved a sales tax for school improvements in 2016. Now, the Murphysboro School District is putting some of that money to use.
Some work in Murphysboro has been done to the auditorium and front office at the high school. The biggest job right now is multiple projects at the school’s football field.
Murphysboro Athletic Director Len Novara says the project includes installing a turf field, which will benefit more than just the football program.
The target date for completion of all the projects is August 1st.
