The Jefferson County Historical Village’s opening weekend for the new season is this weekend, and the village will feature a new exhibit.
Dana Uhls is the Community Relations Specialist for the village. She says to celebrate the bicentennial of Mt. Vernon and Jefferson County, this year’s featured exhibit will showcase local history.
The Historical Village will host an exhibit preview party Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Schweinfurth Museum. There is no charge to attend the party, and birthday cake and ice cream will be served to celebrate the bicentennial.
The village will officially open its doors for the season Saturday, May 4th at 10 a.m., and will be open every weekend through October.
