WOODLAWN — The Woodlawn School District will have a familiar face take over as superintendent of the district next school year. Woodlawn High School Principal Eric Helbig will take the role of principal/superintendent next school year, replacing the retiring David Larkin as superintendent.
Helbig says having the current superintendent in the office next door will help to make the transition smoother.
Helbig says it will be a challenge to take on the role of overseeing the education of every student in the district, but he is looking forward to the challenge.
