Joan B. Black, 86, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 8:30 P.M. September 30, 2018 at her residence in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born on November 29, 1931 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to the late Cyril Smith and Essie (Atchison) Smith. She married Ray Black on June 5, 1948. They were blessed with 70 years of marriage until she preceded him in death.

Visitation: Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Funeral Service: 1:30 P.M.
