A Harrisburg woman was arrested for aggravated battery after Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the St. Francis C.A.R.E. Animal Shelter on Country Club Road in Murphysboro Thursday afternoon for a report of a disturbance.
It was reported that 24-year-old Sade Dajon Brown struck a veterinarian in the head and battered at least two other animal shelter employees. Brown left the building walking north.
Deputies found Brown not far from the animal shelter. During the investigation it was alleged that Brown had a dispute with the animal shelter and struck several employees there with little to no warning.
Two victims received minor injuries and were taken by a personal vehicle to a local hospital.
