U.S. Senators Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin, Illinois Democrats, announced $276,747 in federal funding Thursday to help improve public safety, housing, water infrastructure and energy efficiency in Central Illinois.

“Investments like these are critical in helping rural communities in Central Illinois to protect and serve families, improve water infrastructure, build new homes and reduce energy costs,” Duckworth said. “I will continue to work with Senator Durbin to make sure that hardworking Illinoisans throughout the state receive the federal support they deserve.”

Under this announcement, Hoosier Township Communities Facilities in Clay County will receive $25,000 to purchase a replacement tractor.

Breese JMY Enterprises in Clinton County will receive $10,000 to purchase and install solar panels.
