Dorothy M. James, 90, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 2:00 A.M.February 14, 2018 at Residential Living Center in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was bornNovember 23, 1927 in Jefferson County, Illinois to Frank & Stella (Bartnicki) Oslager. She married William Clark “Bill” James, Jr. on February 16, 1952 and he preceded her in death on October 15, 1996. They celebrated 44 blessed years of marriage together.

 Mrs. James is survived by her brother, Bill Oslager and wife, Carmen of Mount Vernon, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and beloved pets, Lilly, Ozzie, and Ginger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant brother, Richard Oslager; and siblings, Frank Oslager, Jr., Robert Oslager, Rose Marie Westbrook, Martha Robertson, and Lenore Barbara Cortez.

Dorothy retired after several years of work for Illinois Bell Telephone. She as a past member of Ladies of the Moose and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be no public visitation.

Funeral Service:11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow.
