CENTRALIA — A 16-year-old juvenile who was shot in a home invasion on July 30 is now the third person arrested in connection with the robbery attempt.
Centralia Police reports indicate that the juvenile was one of four people who entered a home in the 900 block of East Broadway late on July 30. A resident reportedly fired a gun toward the subjects after they entered. By the time police could arrive, all of the subjects had fled.
The juvenile and a 22-year-old Central City man were transferred to St. Louis area hospitals after treatment at a local hospital and were later released.
Now the juvenile has been arrested for alleged aggravated robbery, home invasion and aggravated discharge of a firearm. After being taken to the Marion County Jail, the juvenile was transferred to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention facility in Benton. A court appearance in Marion County is pending.
The juvenile joins 19-year-old James Powers of Centralia and 18-year-old Bryce Bradley of Belleville facing charges in the case.
