MARION COUNTY — A Texico man is in the Marion County Jail after giving a false name to Salem Police over the weekend.
29-year-old Loyd Finley was arrested after giving Salem PD the name of another wanted person. Finley was arrested for failure to register as a violent offender and obstructing justice.
Police reports indicate that Finley gave the name of another wanted man about twice his age, leading to more questions from police. An officer questioned Finley on his true identity when he recalled seeing Finley’s face on a wanted document. Finley finally admitted his true identity and remains in jail pending a first court appearance on Monday.
