FRANKLIN COUNTY –Lorie LeQuatte will replace Matt Donkin as Regional Superintendent of Schools for Regional Office of Education #21. That announcement was made following a Thursday meeting of the County Board Chairs of Franklin, Johnson, Massac and Williamson Counties – the counties that make up ROE #21 – Thursday afternoon in Marion.
LeQuatte, who lives in Herrin, has worked for ROE #21 for the last 10 years serving as principal of Project Echo Alternative Program since 2008 and principal of STAR Quest Academy Regional Safe School Program since 2010. Donkin put forward LeQuatte’s name for the position and the board chairmen approved it unanimously. Donkin has served as regional superintendent for the past 10 years. He is leaving to become superintendent of the Frankfort Community Unit School District Number 168 in West Frankfort July 1. LeQuatte will serve the remaining two years of the current term.
