(CARLYLE, IL) — Four people arrested by Carlyle police over the weekend were formally charged Tuesday in Clinton County court with multiple drug offenses. Judge Stan Brandmeyer advised the four, which included 18-year-old Cassidy Temple, of Breese; 22-year-old Zachary Logan, and 21-year-old Devin Starner, both of Carlyle; and 23-year-old Stephanie Snyder, of the charges against them and the possible penalties if convicted. Temple is charged with four Class X felonies for delivery of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis, delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine, trafficking of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis, and trafficking a controlled substance. She is also facing three Class 1 felony counts of delivery of cannabis, delivery of cocaine and possession with the intent to deliver narcotics near a public facility. Logan is charged with three Class X felonies for two counts delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine, and delivery of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis; two Class 1 felonies for delivery of cannabis and delivery of cocaine; and Class 3 felony for delivery of between 30 and 500 grams of cannabis. Starner is charged with five Class X felonies for delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of cocaine, delivery of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis, delivery of between 100 and 400 grams of cocaine, trafficking of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis, and trafficking a controlled substance. He is also charged with two Class 1 felonies for delivery of cannabis and delivery of cocaine, as well as Class 3 felony delivery of between 30 and 500 grams of cannabis. Snyder is charged with Class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance. Probable cause had already been found over the weekend and bail had already been set at $100,000 for Temple, Logan, and Starner. Bail for Snyder was set at $10,000. Judge Brandemeyer prohibited Temple, Logan and Starner from having contact with each other and appointed a public defender to represent each individual. Starner is next scheduled in court Wednesday, Temple on Thursday, and Snyder on Friday. Logan is next scheduled in court next week.
