(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council is scheduled to meet this evening at 7 p.m. Among items on the agenda, the Council will ask permission to seek bids for renovations to Fire Station 4, to replace the front and Westside doors and for the roof at City Hall, and hear bid results for New Industrial Park water and sewer project. The city manager will give a capital project report update. The city attorney will read on a resolution establishing a capital improvement fee for the villages of Woodlawn, Bluford, Belle Rive, and Waltonville, the Dix-Kell Water Commission, and the Northeast Water Company, a resolution approving an agreement with Roundtable Design for the Jones & 28th Street sewer project, a resolution approving an agreement with Rhutasel and Associates, Inc. for design work for the 44th Street overlay project, and a resolution approving a proposal for engineering services with Roundtable Design for storm sewer projects on Last and Rufus streets and Brownsville Road. The meeting will be held at the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building.
