WOODLAWN, IL — A South Carolina trucker was killed in a crash on I-64 near Woodlawn on Friday afternoon. 67-year-old Wayne Baucom Jr. collided with a slowing truck and was trapped in his rig, where he was later pronounced dead. Hours later, a separate crash occurred near Nashville involving three vehicles, sending four people to the hospital, including a 10-year-old child. Traffic was diverted for over 12 hours as authorities cleared the scene. The cause of both incidents is under investigation.
