SALEM, IL — A man from Xenia was injured in a crash on I-57 north of Salem Wednesday morning just before 8:00 AM. 42-year-old Michael Burdine lost control of his pickup truck, causing it to run off the road, hit a guardrail, embankment, and tree stump before overturning. The Salem Fire Protection District responded, but Burdine was already out of the truck. He was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
