Frankie Donald “Frank” Huff, 91, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 8:13 pm March 21, 2025 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born June 12, 1933 in Mount Vernon to the late Everett and Gladys (Eccles) Huff. Frank married Wanda Lee (Wood) Huff on August 23, 1952. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2013.

Frank is survived by his sons, Rick V. Huff and wife, Myrna of Bluford, Illinois and Randy R. Huff and wife, Deborah of McLeansboro, Illinois; daughters, Rhonda Bevis and husband, Mark and Raelyn Capps and husband, John, all of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Matthew Huff and fiancée, Megan of Saint Louis, Missouri, Jeremy Huff of Michigan, Brandon Huff and wife, Lyndsey of Hamel, Illinois, Courtney Cannes and husband, Michael of Saint Louis, Missouri, Alyson Deletesky and husband, Seth of Southport, North Carolina, Jennifer Wheeler and husband, Nathan of Mount Vernon, Jessica Carter and husband, Chad of Texico, Illinois, Ashley Reu and husband, Ryan of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Whitney Lipps and husband, Chet of Dix, Illinois; step-grandchildren, Jacob Capps and wife, Hannah of Mount Vernon, Joseph Capps and wife, Brittnie of Mount Vernon, Landon Bevis and wife, Erin of Texico, Illinois, and Lindsey Rich and husband, Nathan of Haubstadt, Indiana; 28 great-grandchildren; and sister, Willadean Paige of Aurora, Illinois.

In addition to his parents and wife, Frank was preceded in death by his siblings, Bill, LaVesta, Betty, and Linda.

Frank started his working career at Vernois Stove Foundry and had worked in sales for several years before retiring from Big Muddy River Correctional Center. He was a devout follower of Christ, loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Services for Frank will be private. Memorials may be made in Frankie ‘s honor to SSM Hospice.
