Charles W. “C.W.” Cralley, 90, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 12:05 pm February 6, 2025 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon. He was born April 24, 1934 in Clinton, Illinois to the late Earl and Eloise (Spainhour) Cralley.
C.W. is survived by his sons, Wayne Cralley and wife, Judy of Mount Vernon, Allen Cralley and wife, Tami of Woodlawn, Illinois, and Kevin Cralley and wife, Jean of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Gabriel Cralley of Chicago, Illinois, Elizabeth Stigall and husband, Bill of Town and Country, Missouri, and Kole Cralley and wife, Megan of Bloomington, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Liam Stigall, Connor Stigall, and Kellen Stigall; and several nieces and nephews.
C.W. proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He is a Korean war veteran and served as military police. He was a faithful member of the United Pentecostal Church and was an ordained pastor. In 69 years, he never missed a Sunday school class. C.W. worked in construction and was a proud farmer. He will be dearly missed.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in C.W.’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
