MT. VERNON – Northbound I-57 at the eastbound I-64 split south of Mt. Vernon was shut down for almost two hours after a semi with trailer overturned around 11:45 Friday night.

According to Illinois State Police, the northbound lanes were initially closed, and traffic was rerouted off at the ramp. All lanes reopened at 1:30 Saturday morning.
ISP says there is no additional information to share at this time.
