BENTON – Multiple fires were reported over the weekend at Lake Benton.

Two homes were destroyed by fire with the siding on another home receiving fire damage Saturday afternoon. Then another fire was reported Sunday.

Benton Fire Chief Shane Cockrum says the State Fire Marshal is investigating the fires, but they don’t believe the fires are suspicious in nature.

He says Saturday’s fire put crews in a tough spot due to water supply issues.

As for Sunday’s fire.

No injuries were reported from the weekend fires.
