Gary Ackley, 82, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 4:56 pm on December 8, 2024 at Mt. Vernon Healthcare in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was born on February 28, 1942 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the son of Clifford and Ruth Viola (Ramsey) Ackley. He married Rita Ackley and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2024.

Gary is survived by 2 sisters, Ruth Harris and Wilma Rhodes; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Burial of ashes will be held at a later date.
