CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police detectives and the Carbondale School District 95 School Resource Officer arrested a juvenile offender for Making a Terroristic Threat and Disorderly Conduct Wednesday.

Police say the juvenile threatened an act of violence against a school administrator and students at Carbondale Middle School. The juvenile offender appeared in court Wednesday for a first appearance and detention hearing on the charges.

The offender was released from the court appearance with an electronic monitoring device. There are court-ordered conditions the offender has to comply with.

For the safety of the public and the offender, it was recommended to Juvenile Probation and the Court that the offender be detained in a juvenile detention facility. Juvenile Probation could not identify a facility to detain the offender. This case continues to be investigated by the Carbondale Police Department.
