CARBONDALE – A juvenile who attends Carbondale District 95 Schools was taken into custody by Carbondale Police around 6:30 Wednesday morning for allegedly making a threat of violence toward Carbondale Middle School.

Carbondale Police were made aware about the threat the juvenile said would happen Wednesday around 7:30 Tuesday night.

Police detectives alongside the District 95 School Resource Officer immediately began an investigation which led to the student being identified as the source of the threat.

Currently, there are no known threats to Carbondale Middle School or anywhere within Carbondale District 95.
