MARION – The Southern Illinois Made Expo team held a check presentation at Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois in Marion Friday to present fundraising proceeds from this year’s Southern Illinois Expo to three worthy charities.

State Sen. Dale Fowler along with the Southern Illinois Chambers of Commerce presented checks to Honor Flight of Southern Illinois, This Able Veteran and Down the Leash Service Dogs. Each organization received $23,541.

The Expo, held on July 20 and 21 in Marion, provides a platform for local businesses to showcase their products and services and raises funds for local veteran-serving causes.
