MT. VERNON – A Mt. Vernon resident is facing gun-related charges for allegedly pointing a gun at someone while driving a motorcycle on Broadway.
Mt. Vernon Police say just before 5 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the incident after being notified about what happened by the reporting party.
The motorcycle had been involved with a different vehicle in a road rage incident prior to this. Officers located the motorcycle and conducted a traffic stop on it at South 10th Street and Main Street.
During the investigation, a firearm was recovered, and it was determined the rider, 57-year-old Bradley Kelly, had committed the offense of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm during the incident.
Kelly was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
