BENTON – An Elizabethtown woman is in the Franklin County Jail on meth-related charges.
Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon says around 12:20 Wednesday morning, a deputy stopped a vehicle 31-year-old Adawnya D. Solomon was a passenger in on North Main Street near McFall Street in Benton.
After initial contact, the deputy requested a K9 respond to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. A sheriff’s office K9 unit responded. A positive alert was made and a search was conducted. Four clear plastic bags of a white crystalline substance were located on Solomon.
Deputies field tested the bags which showed positive for the presence of methamphetamine. Solomon was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Solomon is charged with Unlawful Possession with the Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (15 to 100 grams) and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (15 to 100 grams).
Deputies were assisted by officers from the Benton Police Department.
