ASHLEY, IL — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says eastbound I-64, from the Ashley/Centralia exit to exit 73 at the I-57 split in Mt. Vernon, will be closed Thursday August 29th at 7 p.m. and will remain closed until Friday, Aug. 30 at 6 a.m. The closure is for pavement patching and bridge deck patching.
Eastbound traffic will be directed to U.S. 51 South to Illinois 15 East to I-57. The eastbound exit/entrance ramps at the Woodlawn exit will also be closed during this time.
Expect increased traffic along Illinois 15 from Washington County line to I-57 in Mt. Vernon.
