CENTRALIA — Emma “Ganell” Lamb passed away at Anderson Hospital on Saturday, June 1st, 2024.

She was born March 17th, 1948, in Centralia, Illinois to Edward and Dora (Roper) Schilling. She is survived by her children: Dana Massie (Steve) of Troy, Illinois and BJ (Kerry) Lamb of Centralia.

Also survived by her grandchildren: Peyton and Tanner Massie and Caden and Emma Kate Lamb. Brother: Leland Schilling, brother-in-law: Joe Kern, and sister-in-law: Charlene Schilling, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ganell graduated CHS in 1966. She worked at Miss Elaines, a short time as a school cook, and many years at NAL until her retirement. She was a member of the Moose. Her family was everything to her. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events when her health had allowed. She was an avid Orphan and St. Louis Cardinal fan. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Ronnie Schilling, Marilyn Zimmerman, Gale Schilling, John Schilling, Nancy Kern, nephew: Randy Schilling, brother-in-law: Bob Zimmerman, sister-in-law: Gloria Schilling and her beloved Bella. Ganell never met a stranger and was a very caring person.

Funeral Services for Emma Ganell Lamb will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Burial will follow at Gilead Cemetery in Centralia.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home. In memory of Ganell, memorial donations may be made to the Gilead Cemetery Fund and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, Illinois 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Lamb family.
