WAYNE COUNTY — Illinois State Police have arrested a 35-year-old McLeansboro man for alleged aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless homicide in connection with a fatal side-by-side crash over the weekend in northwest Wayne County.

According to ISP, Johnny Green was traveling westbound on County Road 70 North and ran off the south edge of the roadway and rolled over, causing the front-seat passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Wayne County State’s Attorney charged Green Wednesday with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Reckless Homicide. Green is being held at the Wayne County Jail.
