JEFFERSON COUNTY — Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 27-year-old Belle Rive man Thursday night, for allegedly shooting a woman’s car and pointing a handgun at her.
Stepfon Norville Lee Smith was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and criminal damage to property.
According to Sheriff Jeff Bullard, deputies responded at 7:42 p.m. Thursday to a residence at 1415 North Abbott Lane in Belle Rive, after a woman called to report a man had shot into her vehicle and pointed a gun at her.
After deputies arrived on the scene they reportedly interviewed the parties involved and collected evidence, including the alleged handgun used in the incident.
Smith was identified as one of the residents, along with the woman who made the complaint.
Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
