EASTS ST. LOUIS — A 40-year-old Centralia man pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to all four counts of a federal indictment charging him with drug and weapons offenses.

Anthony Pierce was arrested last year on charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The four-count indictment also charged Pierce, a known felon, with possessing a Hi-Point C-9 9 mm firearm, with a partially defaced serial number on occasions in February of 2019, when he distributed meth in Clinton County. Per the plea agreement, he consented to the forfeiture of those items.

Pierce was remanded into the custody of the U.S. Marshal’s Service, with sentencing in the case scheduled for August 14 in the East St. Louis Federal Courthouse.
