CENTRALIA — An early morning house fire in Centralia sent two people to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

According to fire reports, Centralia City firefighters responded around 5:40 Friday morning to a report of a fire at a home in the 200 block of South Cherry.

Upon their arrival, firefighters reported flames shooting from two second-floor windows of the home. Two occupants were out of the home when firefighters arrived but were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. One of the occupants was airlifted to a regional burn center for treatment of moderate to severe burns.
