SOUTHERN ILLINOIS — The recent front that pushed through the area has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Freeze Warning for our entire listening area.

According to the Weather Service, widespread freeze and frost is likely across the entire region tonight until 8 a.m. tomorrow.

Temperatures as low as twenty-eight degrees will bring heavy frost and freeze conditions which could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Thunderstorms are possible Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. They say a strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out, but the risk is “very marginal.”

Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are possible from Monday night through Thursday.
