PERRY COUNTY — A 25-year-old Elkville woman is dead after falling out of an off-road vehicle in Perry County over the weekend.

According to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office around 4:33 p.m. Sunday at 4:33 p.m. Baylie McClanahan was riding in a side-by-side along Kimmel Road, just east of Pecan Road in Perry County when she fell out of the vehicle.

The sheriff’s office says a group of people were driving side-by-sides and going back to their home from the Polish Fest in Du Bois when one of the passenger doors opened on one of the vehicles and McClanahan fell out of the vehicle and onto the road.

The vehicle was reportedly going around 45 miles per hour at the time of the incident and McClanahan was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Perry County Coroner’s Office pronounced McClanahan was dead at the scene.
