JEFFERSON COUNTY — Jefferson Fire has issued a burn ban until six Sunday night.

According to fire officials, dry ground cover and forecasted strong winds create a good chance fires could burn out of control.

The district notes it will be extremely difficult to reach off-road fires due to the wet ground.
