MARION COUNTY — A 20-year-old Odin man who was ordered detained last week in the Marion County Jail on a charge of criminal sexual abuse was released Wednesday after agreeing to special terms with the court.

Landon R. Furlong was arrested last week on a Class 2 felony charge accusing him of sexually abusing a minor five years or more younger than him.

The State’s Attorney’s Office filed a motion seeking to have Furlong detained pending trial in the case and that motion was granted.

But Judge Mark Stedelin ordered Furlong released Wednesday and rescheduled a preliminary hearing and first appearance for January 24.
