At that point, law enforcement approached the truck and the Farina officer discharged his weapon striking Roe.
No law enforcement was injured in the incident. Roe was taken to an area hospital for treatment and was booked into the Fayette County Jail upon his release.
Brownstown Elementary School identified the victim as retired teacher Sandra Stine who is now a substitute teacher. The school states Miss Stine’s home suffered serious damage and she lost a pet in the fire allegedly set by Roe.
A bank account is being set up at the First National Bank of Brownstown to assist Miss Stine with her losses.
