HOYLETON, Ill. — Sarah Hosick, 54, of Hoyleton, Illinois passed away on November 15th, 2023 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Sarah was born on July 21st, 1969 in Bloomington, Illinois to Janet Sheckles.

Sarah is survived by her parents Janet and Sonny Sheckles of West Frankfort; 3 brothers Jody Patterson, James Vailes, and Jonathan Sheckles; niece and nephews Kiel Patterson, Haley Patterson, Keagan Sheckles, Jude Sheckles, and Jesse Vailes.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother Mildred Duval.

Sarah was a family-oriented woman and loved everything about her family, especially her nephews. She was a long-time participant of the Special Olympics, and was proud to be a part of it. She was an avid scary movie watcher, and enjoyed various activities like puzzles, sudokus, and different puzzle books.

Per Sarah’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and Celebration of Life service will be determined at a later date.
