BLUFORD, Ill. — Arlene E. Woodcock, 88, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 6:00 am November 4, 2023 at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mount Vernon. She was born March 8, 1935 in Montana to the late Orsa A. and Nevada “Vada” L. (Gibbs) Kidder. Arlene married Reverend Edward Woodcock on October 6, 1954. They were blessed with nearly sixty-nine years of marriage before he preceded her in death on August 26, 2023.

Arlene is survived by her children, Julie Martin and husband, Simon, Bonita Shelton and husband, Gary, Edward Woodcock, Jr., Kevin Woodcock and wife, Barbara, Amanda Bean and husband, Kent; fifteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Arlene was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Isabella Karlie Bean; siblings; and adoptive parents, Adeline (Gibbs) and Henry “Hank” Hildreth.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Interment will follow.
