TEXICO, Ill. — Mazie Lynne Richardson, 80, of Texico, Illinois, passed away September 21, 2023 at her residence.

She was born January 10, 1943 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Troy and Rosemarie (Dalby) Green. Mazie married Larry Duane Richardson on January 13, 1962 in Jefferson County, Illinois. They were blessed with 50 years of marriage before his passing on July 6, 2012.

Mazie is survived by her children, Tim Richardson and wife, Sharon of Mount Vernon and Terri Pemberton and husband, Matt of Texico; grandchildren, Nicholas Lemay of Mount Vernon, Margo Richardson and husband, Patrick Kotecki of Port Orange, Florida, Aaron Pemberton of Texico, and Emma Pemberton of Texico; and sister, Shirley Brumley and husband, Dalfey of Texico.

Mazie attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her grandchildren in her younger years. Anyone who knew Mazie knew her daily struggle with mental illness.

It is as real as any physical disease a person can experience. We are certain that she is happy now. She is singing, dancing, and smiling with Jesus Christ. Services will be private.
