KEENES — Jerry Allen Loker, 84, of Keenes, IL passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Jerry was born to George & Joy (Fleming) Loker on March 1, 1939.  On November 29, 1957 he married Margie (Gross) Loker, who survives.

Jerry was a farmer and loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and collecting artifiacts.  He also enjoyed playing cards, relaxing in the yard in his swing, and he enjoyed teasing people.  He loved his family, especially his grandkids.

Jerry is survived by his wife Margie Loker of Keenes, IL; his children: Rick (Lorri) Loker, Jerri Sue (Max) Owens, and Roger (Shayna) Loker; 9 grandchildren: Carrie (Brad) Campbell, Lindsey Ferhrenbacher, Malori (Eric) Lambdin, Jacob (Brittany) Owens, Danielle (John) Trotter, Isaac (Ellie) Loker, Adam Loker, Rainey Loker, and Nova; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, a brother Kent (Patty) Loker, 2 sisters: Betty (LeRoy) Shelton and June (Terry) Bashore; a sister-in-law Nola Loker, a brother-in-law Dale McCormick, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents George & Joy Loker, 2 brothers: Dale Loker and Gale Loker, a sister Kay McCormick, and a sister-in-law Deloris Loker.

Graveside funeral services for Jerry Allen Loker will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, IL with Pastor Tim Coonce officiating.  Those attending are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.  A private family ceremony will be held at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City prior to the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Keenes Christian Church or to the Wabash Christian Retirement Center, and will be accepted at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City.  Online condolences, memories, and words of encouragement may be shared at youngfuneralhomellc.com.
