CENTRALIA — The Southeaster Illinois Drug Task Force arrested a 43-year-old man Wednesday morning, following an investigation into drug activity in the area.

According to a press release, around 11 a.m. Wednesday, agents with the Illinois State Police (ISP) Division
of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force (SEIDTF) agents arrested
William Jeromy Prosise in the 700 block of Cherry St, Centralia.

Prosise was taken into custody without incident. Prosise was charged with one
count Class X felony Delivery of Methamphetamine, two counts Class 1 felony Delivery of Methamphetamine, and one count Class 2 felony Delivery of Methamphetamine.

Prosise is currently being held in the Marion County Jail awaiting the formal filing of charges and the setting of bond. The investigation remains ongoing.

SEIDTF is comprised of the Salem Police Department, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, the
Robinson Police Department, the Mount Carmel Police Department and the Illinois State Police.
