ππππππππππ β Illinois State Police have arrested a 38-year-old Metropolis man on multiple drug and weapons charges.
According to ISP, Mitra S. Tyson was arrested Thursday on three Class X felony charges for armed violence, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Ecstasy with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Fentanyl with Intent to Deliver, along with Class 1 felony Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms with Intent to Deliver and Class 2 felony Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver.
An ISP press release says agents with the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force executed a residential search warrant Thursday in the 300 block of West 10th Street in Metropolis.
The search warrant reportedly resulted in the recovery of 900 grams of cannabis, 302 grams of fentanyl pills, more than 90 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, more than 1,250 grams of crystal methamphetamine, more than 120 grams of Ecstasy, and three loaded handguns.
Tyson was taken into custody without incident and is being held in the Massac County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
