WASHINGTON COUNTY — An additional person has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run last month in Okawville that injured a child.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, they arrested a juvenile last week who was allegedly involved in the June 13th incident.

Officials say all involved parties have now been charged. Joseph Shelton, of Belleville, was arrested late last month and released from the Washington County Jail after he posted the first $1,000 of a $3,000 bail. The other $2,000 is due within 30 days.
