MARION, Ill. — Pass One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning has purchased the remaining available tickets for the Thrillville Thrillbillies baseball game in Marion on Sunday, July 2nd. Owners Francis and Richard Pass announced Friday that they will give the tickets to the public at no cost.
As part of a Thrillbillies sponsorship, the company was already providing free tickets to employees and clients. Veterans receive free tickets as part of a four-day Independence Day celebration at the ballpark. “Now we’re inviting everyone to join us at the July 2nd game for free,” Pass said. “Come on out and enjoy some terrific baseball while saluting America and our veterans.”
According to the Passes, growth in Southern Illinois was another reason for their company to donate. “We want to support this important new development in Williamson County,” Pass said.“Pass One Hourare season ticket holders and have had a terrific time at Mtn Dew Park. The more folks take advantage of all the great things that are happening in our region, the better it is for the economy.”
Sunday’s game theme, “Home of the Brave Night,” is part of the Thrillbillies’four-day, Star-Spangled Celebration and the Thrillbillies have many special activities planned:
- The Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance will be on display.
- The first 500 fans through the gate get foam finger rockets.
- A silent auction of the special edition, patriotic Thrillbillie jerseys worn by players and coaches.
- A post-game, live concert with the Chris Turner Band.
Thrillbillies Owner Rodney Cabaness was grateful for Pass Heating and A/C’s generosity. “Francis is a veteran himself and a long-time supporter of veterans support groups,” Cabaness said. “Sunday night will be a lot of fun for everybody, and now that tickets are free, we should have a huge crowd.”
“The Thrillbillies are making it easy for anyone who wants free tickets. All fans need to do is visit the Stadium Box Office and tell them they want tickets for Sunday,” Pass said. The Stadium Box Office is open from 9 am-5 pm daily, with extended hours all weekend. Tickets are also available to pick up at Pass One Hour Heating & A/C, the big yellow shop, in Herrin on Friday until 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8 am-2:30 pm. The Thrillbillies take on the Cape Catfish on Sunday, July 2nd. Gates open at 5:18 pm, with the first pitch at 6:18 pm.
