WILLIAMSON COUNTY — An 18-year-old Herrin man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly pointed a gun at two people inside a Walmart store in Marion.
According to Marion Police, Aidyn J. Finney, was taken to the Williamson County Jail on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and reckless conduct.
Officers say they responded around 6 p.m. Sunday to a report of a man with a gun inside the Marion Walmart.
Reports indicate a man and woman were arguing with two other men in the pharmacy section of the store and that one of the men pointed a gun at the other two men.
The man who was suspected of pointing the gun then left the store and went toward Dillard’s.
Police said the witnesses saw the suspect in the parking lot tossing the gun in the grass between Walmart and Dillard’s.
Witnesses then stayed near the gun until Marion officers retrieved the weapon.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
At the time of Sunday’s arrest, Finney was free on bond in a February case in Jackson County charging him with aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
