FRANKLIN COUNTY — Bond has been set at $300,000 in Franklin County Court for a 37-year-old Belle Rive man charged with child pornography among other child sex-related offenses.

Over the weekend, West City police arrested Brian C. Johnson, of East Saddle Club Road in Belle Rive, following a month-long investigation.

Johnson was formally charged in court Monday with Class X felony child pornography, four Class 4 felony counts of grooming a child, one Class 3 charge of traveling to meet a child and four misdemeanor counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Johnson is scheduled to next appear in court on June 28, for a preliminary hearing and a first appearance with a court-appointed attorney.
