ALMA, Ill. —Mable “Lorene” Schoreck, 97, of Alma, Illinois passed away April 11, 2023, at her home with family at her side.
Born December 7, 1925, in Flora, IL, she was the daughter of Earl and Eva G. (Snell) Cox, Sr.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be from 11:00 am until the service hour. Burial will follow at the Alma Cemetery. Mable was married to Delmar L. Schoreck on December 14, 1942, and he preceded her in death.
She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed being a caregiver to the elderly. A people person at heart, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Steve and wife Amy of Edgewood, IL, Danny Schoreck of Centralia, IL, David Schoreck of Indianapolis, IN, Joanne Tingler of Effingham, IL, Vickie Painter of Salem, IL, Penny Sue (Tim) Haynes of Indianapolis, IN, Sharon Meece of Alma, IL, Karen Rankin of Alma, IL, Linda Brimberry of Alma, Mary Margaret Yates of Salem, IL Lisa (Jerry) Williams of Salem, IL, Elizabeth Bohnhoff of Effingham, IL, and Janice Cox of Centralia, IL, along with 186 grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her children Ronnie Schoreck, Douglas Michael Schoreck, Sandra Sanderson, Betty Jayne Schoreck, and several brothers and sisters.
